The Radial Hinged UD Splint was designed by a hand specialist to improve hand function in patients with severe ulnar deviation due to Rheumatoid Arthritis. Soft finger straps permit each finger to be individually aligned and the plastic shell is lined for comfort. A bendable stay contours into the palm for stability while leaving the palm largely free  for function. Straps are washable and replaceable. For those with MP Ulnar Deviation that can be corrected with mild to moderate force, we recommend the Polycentric Hinged Ulnar Deviation Splint for Rheumatoid Arthritis. For a nighttime support that holds the fingers and wrist in a rested position, we recommend the 3pp Comforter Splint.

Because of the nature of Rheumatoid Arthritis and the variations in the deformities it causes, we strongly recommend that you discuss this splint with your health care provider before making a purchase. Once you have chosen to purchase this splint, we recommend you take it to your doctor or therapist to assist you in properly fitting and adjusting the splint if needed.

Rest hand on table top and measure the width across the MP’s (big knuckles)to size. It is recommended that you see your health care provider to assist you in choosing the correct size. Oh My Arthritis is not responsible for incorrect sizing, fit or use of splints.
