Our Story
For over 20 years, the founder of Oh My Arthritis, Julie Belkin, has designed and carefully chosen the best and most useful splints and braces to help improve the lives of people with arthritis and other health conditions. Where It BeganBefore becoming a business owner, Julie was an Occupational Therapist, Orthotist (brace maker) and Hand Therapy Specialist. Her career choice was inspired, in part, to help her mother who suffered from debilitating arthritis. As an Occupational Therapist, Julie worked with children and adults who were suffering from injuries and illnesses, learning the best ways to help them with their pain. It's that first hand understanding that has been the driving force behind Oh My Arthritis today. Oh My ArthritisIn 1997, Julie founded the parent company, 3-Point Products to design and manufacture comfortable, functional and affordable orthopedic splints and braces for distribution to the medical community. As the web became the primary source for information and then shopping, the decision was made to also make the products directly available to consumers.
With the advice and support of the physicians and therapists on the Board of Advisors, the e-commerce site - Oh My Arthritis was born. To date, OMA has helped thousands by offering superior products proven to help people’s daily lives easier, less painful and more comfortable. With the help of our products, many can once again work and play without pain!
