Fix Comfort Thumb Brace

This brace works quite well in keeping my thumb immobilized reducing the pain that I have from arthritis.

This little brace makes a huge difference! I've bought a second one just to keep in my car where I don't ever want to be without it. I wash it in gentle soap and water and it dries quickly. Excellent product!

My thumb had been hurting for at least a month. It did not stop me from doing things but always sore. I finally decided to do something about it. I ordered this brace and it’s great. I’ve used for a week and my thumb is much better. I guess it needed to rest.

This brace arrived quickly and is very sturdy and well made. It stabilizes my thumb at both the CMC and MP joints and allows the joints to "rest" when I'm wearing it. I've found that when I'm not wearing it, I have less pain because of the rest and healing I get when the brace is on. I know I'll be wearing this frequently and it will allow me to avoid surgery. Great product.

This is my second brace. The first wore out - (Velcro gave up after a year but a small price to pay) So much better than popping pills. I'm about to order another to have one always available no matter where I am.

I have arthritis on both thumbs, bilateral as they say, and have had cortisone shots and tried other braces. These (I have two) are by far the best to stabilize my thumb and wrist and provide relief. I, too, tried the more costly Push, which don't have the same wrist stabilizing aspect. I highly recommend these.

I have three different braces: 1 from my doctor, a Push MetaGrip, and this the Fix Comfort Thumb- which is by far my favorite. It’s the most comfortable and supportive for me- and by far the least expensive! and it’s very well made. Personally, I do wish it was about an inch longer. On me it ends at the wrist bone, which feels a bit strange. I spent a few years in carpal tunnel braces which may be why it feels a bit awkward. I’ll definitely be buying more, and I highly recommend it!

This thumb brace is very nice. Fits well and is comfortable and does it’s job.

This splint helps so much for thumb osteoarthritis. I’m a pharmacy technician that over time developed arthritis in the thumb joint. This brace allows me freedom to do my many tasks and it’s comfortable enough to sleep with it on.

I have tendinitis in my thumb. Tried several braces. This one is the most comfortable and holds my thumb securely. There is no rubbing, no pinching, no slippage, no uncomfortable pressure points. Love it! I wish I could find a waterproof version just as perfect!

I’m very impressed with the quality of this brace and the stability it is giving me for my thumb. I would recommend this product if you suffer with thumb pain.

Thank you the support works great it has lessened my wrist pain and hopefully I will try golfing with this on. I would say easy to use comfortable. The only issue I have is when using for a period of time the inner scoop base of thumb up to finger gets irritated might be I have to tight.

I've worn the cmc for years but post surgery can't wear it and this brace is perfect. So perfect I bought one for work and one for home. I own an indoor plant company so use my hands all day. This brace keeps my thumb secure, out of pain, and I have much less swelling end of day. 5 stars all the way. I've tried so many braces so just get this one and you'll agree!

I have had this brace for a week and a half and it has changed and enhanced my comfort level for the good! The pain I have experienced from my osteoarthritis has subsided substantially in the short time I have been using it. I can work through the day with little to no pain. Received my thumb brace yesterday and immediately began wearing it. It fits and wears better than any other brace I have used. Allows the rest of my hand the most freedom of movement of any of the braces I have. This is a game changer for me. THx

This was my second purchase of this brace. I love the support it gives me and wanted to have more than one so I would always have one available

This is a great product. Very comfortable and effective. I would highly recommend it. My thumb doctor gave me one that was hard plastic and velcro - very uncomfortable.

Much less cumbersome than other braces. I was right between the 2 sizes with a 7” wrist . I went with the med/large which fits well.

Good quality splint, but size matters because splint is rigid with limited adjustability. I ordered the small/medium size after measuring my wrist, but it was too small. (I have large hands for a woman--size 8, or men's size small.) I did NOT try to wear the splint , because it clearly would have rubbed the area between my thumb and index finger.

Very well made and comfortable. Fits both hands equally well. I'm ordering another one since I have bilateral deQuervains

I was wearing a Mueller $10 thumb brace and it was super uncomfortable and didn't protect my thumb. This brace is very comfortable and I can adjust the metal to fit exactly like I want it. I can even sleep in it.

I bought a small and this was so large that I couldn't use my thumb at all. The brace constantly slid up my hand and it isn't well padded so the metal often stabs into you. Perhaps for people with big hands this would work.

I strained my thumb joint carrying heavy grocery bags, it was my dominant hand, and quite painful. This Comfort Thumb Brace has really helped by immobilizing my thumb and allowing it to heal. It's very well made and comfortable to wear. It arrived quickly, saving me time to drive to several drug stores to find what I needed. Highly recommend!

I've been using a push brace but was still in pain as OA spread to additional thumb joint not served by my push. The Fix Comfort brace has made a huge difference! I bought this and the thumb spica splint. I feel that the wrist being free leaves a bit too much motion at the CMC joint. I feel the spurs popping and grinding inside the brace. Perhaps this is a better splint for those early on in the disease process. A spica splint gives much more support and stability.

So far so good. Like the construction and it holds my thumb & wrist in a good position. I just re-ordered a second one to have around in case something happens to my first one. It is reversible for Left or Rite hand. Thank You

I bought this brace after seeing a recommendation on another web page. I liked the size and thought I’d give it a try. I’m so glad I gave it a try. This is an excellent product. It fits my small hand very well, and gives good support to a severely arthritic thumb. The thumb is going to be surgically repaired in November, and then that’s where another benefit of this brace comes into play. My right thumb is also bad, so once I no longer need the brace for my left thumb, I’ll be able to use it for my right thumb. Great product! Highly recommended.

This thumb brace is just what I needed and the design was well thought of. The support is perfect, quality of material is exemplary and overall just a great product.

Beware of this company's return shipping policy! I ordered two of the Fix Comfort Thumb Brace's with free shipping. Unfortunately, the braces did not work for me although they were constructed well. They actually increased my pain due to the angle it forced my thumb. I was bummed. When I returned them, not only did I have to pay the return shipping, but the company deducted the initial shipping cost from my refund, although it was supposed to be free shipping! They said "that is our policy." It was free until they were returned. I was going to order a different brace but changed my mind. Not very customer friendly in my opinion. I will shop somewhere else.

I have arthritis in my thumb and did research into braces that would help alleviate the pain. This brace received good reviews and I can see why. It is very customizable with regards to fit and is very comfortable. It has provided much needed pain relief and still allows me the ability to use my hand.

Not only is this product fabulous, my doctor raved about it. She will be recommending your website for her patients. I wish I had found it 3 years ago for my other hand.

I've tried several brands, including one from my orthopedist. This brace provides the most support and comfort. My wrist measurement was between the 2 size. I ordered sm/med and it fits great

I’m a retired surgeon with arthritis after skiers thumb at carpal to metacarpal joint. Used this appliance for just a few days before immense improvement. Well-made. Will buy another for my dirtier hobbies.

Quality brace. Much better than what you get in the drug store.

For little money. I bought 2 of those for my wife since she developed some thumb problems over the past 2 years due to her new job assignments. As I can just describe what my wife says, she loves them. She wears them probably around 5 hours a day and she feels no discomfort but certainly I good amount of pain relief. Movement can be more restricted as desired. I have a Bauerfeind timb brace for years now which is a great product but also pretty pricey. I highly recommend this brace, plus service and delivery was outstanding.

I wanted a small footprint, light, be able to type and do most things. I got two so I can clean and use the other, and since it's symmetrical and fits both hands, I can use if ever my other thumb starts acting.

Just received my thumb brace. Size was good. My doctor was pleased with seeing it on my hand because it still allows movement of my wrist and fingers. As I said, so far it’s good.

These braces are wonderful. Great support for painful CMC joints. One of the best things about them is how easy it is to get them on and off.

Having investigated my aching thumb condition online and also the available supports for it, I ordered this adjustable thumb support. It came quickly and wearing it eased some of the pain. However, wearing it all the time causes it to dig into the space between thumb and forefinger, so I have to take breaks. The promotion says the thumb section is adjustable, but with a sore thumb, I don't have the strength to adjust the metal surrounding the thumb.

I’ve tried a number of thumb braces and this is my favorite. Easy to adjust, doesn’t chafe. Only thing I can’t do comfortably is use scissors—I use another when I need to cut anything. I’ve recommended this to several friends and will also share with my orthopedist

I really like this brace EXCEPT it makes my hand and thumb sweat and in So. Florida’s heat and humidity, it isn’t good. But it is very comfortable and I wear it all the time in the house but not when I go outside.

I have tried several braces for my arthritic bottom thumb joint. The Fix Comfort Brace does the job. It’s comfortable, not hot, reduces pain, and stabilizes the joint perfectly. I’m considering ordering a second one so as to always have a clean one available.

I've tried quite a few braces. I liked this one the most. I find it to be very comfortable. I had to work with the supports quite a bit, but now it conforms to my hand quite well.

Very very pleased with this brace! I needed one and ordered 3 different product. This brace is hands-down the most comfortable of the 3, plus it leaves my palm mostly uncovered. I can type with the glove on, which is of utmost importance to me as most of my work is done on a computer.

This brace succeeds in immobilizing my thumb. I appreciate that there's only 1 strap, and that you can attach it in different positions. Also, I like that it doesn't extend down to the wrist; allows more movement.

This brace is perfect to wear all day! It gives great thumb stabilization, immobilization, and protection against direct pressure (when driving, mowing lawn, etc.). Sits nice and low at base of palm. And allows freedom of function for first thumb joint. I've already recommended to two people.

I tried a few and none fits as comfortable as this brace. I have to sleep with it on at night and I like that I am able to move my wrist while sleeping.

This provides comfort by applying pressure on painful areas at the base of my thumb. A little bulky.

Great quality brace that adjust for a comfortable fit and stable support for the thumb.

Tried others. This has metal thumb support which really keeps the thumb from bending. Comfortable and effective. Recommend the product.

I have not had the brace long but first impressions are favorable. Very comfortable to wear with excellent support. I have many braces but this seems to be the best all around and it doesn't pinch your skin.

Very good quality brace that can be adjusted somewhat to fit your hand and stability. Much better than the ones sold by pharmacy's and grocery stores. My only negative is that it needs to be a smidge longer to be more comfortable around the wrist. Sometimes I need the wrist stable and this just barely satisfies that need. Overall, I recommend.

Works very well to alleviate my thumb pain from IT work. Sometimes a bit cumbersome typing but otherwise it works great!

This is a great brace. It does a great job stabilizing and it is comfortable. The customer service is superb. Everyone was very caring and helpful.

I purchased one of these and loved it so much that I bought a second one. I have sporadic osteo-arthritis in my wrists and thumbs and they are useful when I have pain. I managed to plant some Allium bulbs in my CT garden with one on my right thumb and suffered no after-effects. 

I ordered this brace for my basal joint arthritis in my thumb. I’ve had many braces over the years for my hands and wrists and this one is spot on as it gives just the right amount of support and immobilizes the thumb without interfering with the movement of my fingers. I also love the fact that it’s short and does not go way up my arm. I like it so well when the opposite thumb started acting up at the same time I ordered another one for it Thank you! Great job! I highly recommend this.

I was attracted to this brace by the colors. So much brighter than those black braces offered by others. AND, it works as well as it looks! I have tendonitis at the base of my left thumb from hefting around loads of grocery products. Lots of aching pain! Two days of wearing this and the ache was well on its way. Another two days and I'm relatively pain-free. Nice!

I have arthritis in my wrists, and all joints of my thumbs.  I have one of these braces for each hand.  This brace works great for helping to reduce the arthritis pain.   I wear it at night as per my doctor’s recommendation for braces, and that helps the next day. I have had other braces for this area from ohmyarthritis, but as the arthritis evolves and worsens, this “fix comfort” brace was needed.

I have severe RA in my thumb joints and pain This brace not only relieves the pain, but aids in my day to day activities at work and home. Very grateful for the design; bought a second brace for my other hand as well!

I loved this product. I am super satisfied with everything. It arrived in three days and that is a record because I live in Puerto Rico and everything takes time. And most importantly, the relief was really remarkable, the swelling went down the first time I use it. And to sleep, the pain relief is abysmal, apart from that it prevents my hands from going numb and allows me to do tasks that I could not before.

This works well for stabilizing the thumb however you have to be careful to find the right spot between too tight and not tight enough. At the comfortable spot, I was still getting slight movement at the CMC joint so I found a solution by wrapping that joint with KT Tape, then the brace.

Have had it for a week. Gave immediate relief. Easy to put on and off. But be careful in making it too tight, as my thumb grew numb. Also, it was difficult to type on the computer and it sure gets dirty fast. Might get another to use while this one dries.

Just received today. This is the third brace I've tried, including one from the doctor. So far, it feels more comfortable and supportive.

Not the same as the drug store brands. This feels more like a medical device. Very specifically targets the base of thumb. Does not cover your hand like most do. Soft, comfortable, supportive. I'm wearing them most of the day. Great customer service too.

Good brace. Has helped with arthritis in my thumb.

I bought this to see if it would help my clutch hand on my motorcycle’s. I needed something stiff. This worked perfectly with the metal inside it keeps me from bending that joint. I can still grip with it on.

I injured my left thumb working in my yard & had to end up having it injected due to pain/triggering/dropping things. So I plan to use the brace from now on to protect my thumb. It fits great & seems very comfortable.

This thumb brace is the best one I have had yet. It allows far more freedom with the rest of my hand but keeps the thumb well supported. It is a lot less cumbersome to wear.

Ordered the M/L and it’s too big. Brace is really stiff. Immobilizes the thumb. Not sure if it works as I’m too lazy to return it for smaller size

The padding and materials of this brace are nice but that’s about it. It’s extremely uncomfortable for de quervain's tenosynovitis. It’s too short and therefore hits your wrist at the worse possible place causing more pain. It needs to be longer about an inch or two would fix it! Unfortunately I can’t use it and waste of money.

This brace was just what I was looking for. I wore it the entire first day I got it and the night as well, what relief for my left thumb. I soon just wore it at night just so I wouldn't get it dirty and that has helped as well. Going to order for both parents.

Best thumb brace I've bought! Ordered 2, one for me and one for my husband. We love them!

Really gives my thumb stability/support, restricting movements that cause pain. But, not so restrictive that I can't ride my mountain bike! Awesome product!!

This is the third brace I’ve bought for my thumb arthritis and definitely the best. It’s comfortable enough to wear all day long and let’s me do artwork with much less pain.

I much prefer this brace over the CMCcare thumb brace. This brace provides more support, which restricts painful movements, yet I'm still able to use a keyboard and do household chores. Another great feature is that it arrives ready-to-wear, unlike the smaller CMCcare brace that must be sized and cut to fit.

Been wearing the brace for a little over a week. Big difference in my thumb pain ( arthritis pretty bad ). It isolates the thumb very well, I’m still able to use my hand no restrictions and no pain.

Easy on with just two straps, and very comfortable with palm area cut out. Allows for natural movement and use of hand while keeping thumb supported. Much better than splints that cover whole palm.

I had thumb surgery years ago to fix skiers thumb, I also play guitar. As time has passed the MCP joint has become weak to the point bar chords are painful. This is the only brace I found that fixes that problem, awesome product.

This brace provides really solid support for my thumb and I see significant improvement since I started wearing it. There are problems with the contour and construction, however. The bottom edge digs into my wrist when I flex it, resulting in a sore. The bottom edge of the thumb support also digs into the base of my thumb. Now the Velcro on the thumb strap is starting to fail, so the end keeps peeling up, resulting in it catching on things. At some point soon I’m going to have to buy a different brace, which is pretty annoying considering what this cost.

This brace works well and is small enough to still function. I have been sleeping with it on as that is when my thumb hurts the worst. It works as a good reminder to try to utilize that hand less. It has an adjustable thumb wrap as well for those with a large digit.

This soft brace is perfect for me to wear at night because it's comfortable, it lets air circulate, and holds my thumb in place. I can start the day with less pain! Then I switch to my hard brace for CMC joint support during the day.

Like the way it fits & feels. Colors are also attractive.

I have large hands. I tried the large CMC brace but it was to small. This brace works great and is very comfortable. Even at night.

I highly recommend the Fix Comfort Thumb Brace. It provides excellent stability and protection for my thumb....I had previous surgery to repair a torn ulnar collateral ligament and now require a fusion. This brace is better than most that I have received from physical therapy in the past. The only negative thing that I can say about the brace is that I also have a wrist injury and unfortunately the edge of this brace happens to sit right on the part of my wrist that is injured and so it does cause pain after wearing for a time.

I've only just received these. I have arthritis in both thumb joints. I am a female adn these fit well. They are easy on and off and offer good support for the thumb joint area. They do prevent use of your thumbs below the knuckle and that is a bit cumbersome to me while I use a computer for working. My pain has dwindled about 50% so I will keep using them to see if I get even more pain relief.

This brace comfortably keeps my thumb in the proper position without being too tight or uncomfortable. You’re not gonna have a full range of motion, but your son will be supported and comfortably held in position. This is well-made and well designed easy to get in and out of and it looks like it will last for a long time. I’m not able to hold a racket in my hand and play sports with this however I can use it for most other things, and it’s comfortable to sleep in all night. My only complaint would be that it’s a little expensive.

Had been dealing w/a lot of pain in my thumb pad for a few weeks. Not sure if I tore a tendant and had been using the larger brace which was ok. Immediately using this I felt relief, then slept w/it, and only after a few days my pain finally went away. I were it constantly which stabilized my thumb perfectly, not to mention it was comfortable brace nor large and clumsy. Wish I had gotten it sooner. There's a piece of metal within the material that really adds support. Don't hesitate on this one. The free shipping only took a couple of days despite saying possibly 7 days.

Love this brace for my basal joint arthritis. It is so comfortable to wear! The Velcro is smooth and doesn’t get caught on other fabrics/materials. I can wear it all day or night without fidgeting with it. Wish they made a waterproof one just like it for working in the kitchen. Highly recommend.

This is my new favorite thumb splint. It holds my thumb firmly but is very lightweight to wear. The velcro holds well. Note, though, this particular brace doesn’t extend over your wrist. If you need that kind of coverage, then this isn’t the model for you. The shopping experience on this site was good.

I’ve been wearing the brace at night for thumb arthritis and wake up with it hurting much less. I’m happy with the product

I have tried many thumb/wrist braces and this one has really worked the best. I like the way it supports my thumb and it is easy to apply and wear for extended periods of time. I do use it at night when sleeping and this has really helped.

Good thumb and wrist braces have their niches. This one, the Fix Comfort, restricts the thumb and protects it with metal. Its wrist band adds some protection as well. Its fabric design makes it comfortable for hours. I switch between it and a soft, more supportive than restrictive, Cool Fit.

I have spend endless dollars on contraptions for my thumbs. Even my Dr. recommended devices did not work. My initial findings are positive. The firm support is most important for me. I work on a computer on and off all day and this brace gets me to where i want to be. It was a little bulky at first, however, i got used to it pretty quick. No issues working with my mouse either. I plan to take it to my Dr and tell him to recommend this for people like me. My job pays the bills and i need to keep it. I must remain efficient and responsible.
