When should I wear the Fitted Wrist Brace
Wear the Fitted Wrist Brace as needed to support your weak or strained wrists. If you have symptoms of Carpal Tunnel Syndrome, wearing the splint both during the day and at night is recommended.
Should I wear splints on both hands?
You can certainly wear a brace on both hands. Your fingers and thumb are free so you can continue to perform most of your everyday activities without having to remove one or both braces.
Will this make my hands feel better?
We have found this splint to be quite comfortable and effective to lessen pain for arthritis and other conditions.
How long do I need to wear this splint?
While it depends on how long you have experienced symptoms of numbness and tingling, a general rule is to wear the splint until the symptoms are completely gone or for at least 4 to 6 weeks. If you have worn a daytime and a nighttime splint regularly and the symptoms are not significantly or completely gone after a month or so, it is recommended that you visit your health care provider or a hand specialist for further treatment.
Can I wear this splint at night?
Recent studies have shown that wearing a splint during the day that limits wrist motion and a nighttime splint that limits both wrist and finger motion is a highly effective way to relieve and possibly eliminate the symptoms of Carpal Tunnel Syndrome or tendinitis. The Fitted Wrist Brace can be worn at night or you may consider a splint such as the Mueller Night Support Brace at night along with this brace during the day. For the best chance of “curing” your condition, start wearing a brace as soon as you begin to experience numbness and tingling.
