3pp® ThumSling®

Very comfortable and supportive. A little tricky getting it on but once you put it on a few times it’s easy enough. Flexible enough to work in and just restricted enough to help. I love it!

Most braces fail to support at the CMC joint, which is where I need both support and come protection. This soft, flexible brace supports that joint and I can still type while wearing it. The supplemental stay is a little long for my thumb but you adapt to it.

I've owned a few thumb slings made by 3PP so I knew I was buying a really good product that worked. This time I bought one for each hand as I anticipated they worked great, pain and aching alleviated. The company, OhMyArthritis was easy to work with and had very fast delivery. It's a win, win.

Wearing the brace definitely helps with my pain. It is lightweight which is why I ordered it, but wearing while at work when it is very busy, it gets too hot. My wrist and thumb area begin to sweat. So I now only wear it for support during light days at work and when at home needing support. Works great for these times.

Very flimsy material. Offers no support. Would not recommend. Definitely not worth the money.

I followed the suggestion and chose the next size. I’m thinking I should have gone with the medium.

The sling has allowed me to use my hand for daily activities without pain and without fear of further damaging the thumb joint.

Have been using these slings for the past 6 yrs. Very happy with new design and wider material. Thought I would need surgery. These slings give me support of my left thumb. No surgery needed!!!

This wasn't what I expected, and will actually be useless to me. First, it was difficult to put on and I'm not sure I ever got it on correctly. Then, there was little or no support for my thumb with it. I have two other items from OhMyArthritis for my thumb that work well, but they're hard to use when I need to wear gloves. Thought this might be a solution. It might have been if I could get it on easier and it provided any real support for my thumb.

I love this sling. It is very lightweight so it doesn’t get in the way when typing or working with my hands with my patients ( I am a Physical Therapist.) It is comfortable to wear during sleep.

This looks like a great support but for me, it was just too big. I need an extra small.

I ordered three types from Oh My Arthritis, and this one with the least support is my favorite. Comfortable and movement, but still reduces pain, so I wear the brace when I work making balloon animals.

While this is very adjustable, I found the angle of the wrap part gets very bunched up causing extra bulk. Same is true when it goes over the web of thumb. Proved very little support and while there is a stay if you want more support, again it's a bit big for smaller hands.

I was a skeptic that a wrap could offer relief but I decided it was worth a try and it looked like a well thought-out design. I put it on and got instant relief from the ongoing nagging pain of my CMC. I wear it when I sleep and it prevents the pain that sometimes wakes me up during the night. After wearing it at night for a week now I have less pain all day long. Although, during the day when I don't wear it some movements still produce the sharp pain, it doesn't seem as bad. The material it is made of seems very light weight and I don't think it would hold up to busy daily use in my case, so I don't wear it during the day. Something that could be worn all day should be made from a heavier material. That is why I didn't give it five stars. It is light weight enough that I think a loose-fitting glove could be worn over it during the day if you felt it was needed. I definitely think the price is right for anyone who thinks it may give them some relief to give it a try.

Its sooo comfortable sometimes I don't realize I'm wearing it. This is my 3rd brace and its the best brace.

I bought one for right and left hand. But couldn't wear it for work (there is a lot of dusting, cleaning when business is slow), or even in the kitchen due to concerns about getting it wet or even stained. So, when I needed it the most, I could use it the least. I'm also not sure it wasn't holding my thumb joint in the wrong position. Although affordable and comfortable, it has significant weakness in daily application and wear.

The 3pp ThumbSling was recommended to me by an orthopedic surgeon after he diagnosed my pain. Now I can't imagine ever being without one to relieve any flair ups.

I have been using this product for 2 years to stabilize my thumb at night. So far, it has helped me avoid surgery for diminished cartilage. I prefer it at night to the heavier options. No problem sleeping.

I ordered 2 of these one for my right and one for my left hand since I have arthritis in both of my hands located at my cmc joint. I only used them once thus far at work. So far so good.

I have order the small size before and it really helped my cmc joint. This time they seem a bit big.

The 3pp Thumb Sling(s) that I purchased are helpful, but I may need something more substantial. I wear them (both hands) to sleep, and now my thumb joints don't start aching until mid-day. I do find, however, that the wrapping strap is too wide to keep it from curling around itself after passing through the web between thumb and index finger. But that causes no problem at all.

I really didn’t think this product would work like it said, but I am able to do the things I couldn’t do, and now I can with no pain! I am just amazed and telling everyone!!!

I have a small frame and even though I have long fingers this sling is too big. But I think it might help but don't know yet, I'm not having a problem right now. Also I think seems a bit cheaply made..

I've had hand surgery in both hands and used these splints during recovery. They provide great support and aren't bulky. I use them periodically since recovery when I need support. Love these!

So, after my poor review of the quality of the lining on my ThumbSling, I was contacted by Customer Service and received a replacement ThumbSling free of charge. I'm not sure how long this one will last, but will treat it more gently and wash it in a mesh bag to protect the lining material. For light support, this thumb wrap can't be beat! Thank you Oh My Arthritis.

My two ThumbSlings give my hands comfort and support without any hindrance of movement. I even forget I'm wearing them sometimes. I can do all my light housework and work on my computer and even sewing with no problems at all. I do take them off when I cook, though, of course. They support my thumbs and prevent over use of my joints without any bulk. The lightweight fabric and Velcro closure work perfectly.

Excellent solution to problem of finding something that works and does not reduce dexterity. Wear thick gloves if doing heavy gardening work so that sling's padding is not affected.

It works to compress my osteo arthritis in my left thumb, but I don't find it comfortable enough to wear all day as the doctor directed. Also, I wash it every day after use as directed to on the instructions. It is flimsy, but I bought 2 and hope that they will last for at least 6 months.

This is an update to my 5 star review. Yes, my thumb definitely feels better after wearing the ThumbSling for 2 weeks. However, the white underlayer gets dirty from the normal oils in your skin and disintegrates when you wash it. I'm very unhappy with the poor quality!

I've only had an opportunity to wear the thumsling one day. It fit well and felt good. I was concerned that it would get soiled so quickly with the work I have to do while wearing it.

Excellent combination of support and comfort. Does not impede dexterity.

I actually didn't expect the sling to help much, but surprisingly, it has. I still have pain, but it has become more tolerable since I've been wearing the sling. I will probably order one for the other hand too!

The ThumSling is easy to wear and very comfortable. I even wear it to sleep it feels so good. Since I began using the ThumSling, I have been able to get back to hobbies I have had to limit because they caused me pain in my hand. Thank you for this wonderful product!

This easy to put on and take off. It served my purpose.

The day I got my ThumSling, I put it on immediately. I had a constant pain from arthritis, and it became tolerable and almost pain free. WOW. I will get more of these!!

Thumg sling flimsy and offers no support. When to hand specialist who provided a sling. Product should not be sold.

I have been using the ThumSling and Ultra Spica for four weeks and can't believe the difference they have made in my life. I can do things that I haven't been able to do for a long time. I wear the ThumSling everyday to work and find it very comfortable. These braces have done a wonderful job of reducing my swelling and pain in my thumb and wrist.

Very happy with product, was recommended by my orthopaedic surgeon. I wear it when I am gardening or working for periods of time with my hands and also if my hand starts to ache I apply and the pain eases.

 I have purchased 3 of these. It is the only sling that keeps my thumb joint stable while allowing me to use it. My only complaint is that they wear out quickly.

Used following thumb sprain - difficult to get firm fit from the hand wrap and the thumb support has to be pleated at the base to get it to fit and provide support.

I was disappointed when I received this product for several reasons: it is difficult to put on there are large gaps that decrease its support and the material is very flimsy. I had to return it.

This product was recommended by my orthopedic doctor who is a hand specialist. It is superior to hard plastic splints I've used which sometimes lock the joint in an uncomfortable position and make matters worse. According to my doctor for best results in keeping the velcro sticky wash frequently in cold water.
