I hurt my thumb when I fell. Will this help my thumb heal?
If you injured the ligaments around the middle joint of your thumb, the ThumSaver MP may help heal the ligaments if you did not tear them. Depending on how severely you hurt your thumb, you may need to wear the splint day and night to let the injury heal.
Do I have to cut the lining before I put it in the splint?
The splint comes with felt pads that are shaped to fit into the splint. You may need to trim the pads with scissors to get a good fit. You can also wear this over a thin cotton glove to cushion your thumb.
My thumb really hurts when I hold a pen or pencil. Will this help?
This splint is designed so nothing is across the little finger side of your hand, so you can move your hand across paper while still holding a pen or pencil. This splint lets your wrist move freely while it supports your thumb.
