Comfort Splint-For Nighttime Resting Size Chart

It is recommended that you see your health care provider to assist you in choosing the correct splint and size for your condition. After purchasing, we recommend your doctor or therapist assists you in properly fitting and adjusting the splint.

Wear: The Comforter Splint is recommended for nighttime use to rest your fingers and wrist in a stress-free position.

How to Wear: When putting on your splint, please straighten the bendable stays carefully and gently slide your hand into your splint. The finger stays should be lightly shaped into half circles over your fingers. Please avoid over bending as this may cause them to break.

Please note: It may take a week or so before you fully get used to wearing your Comforter Splint at night.

Care: Carefully remove the quilted cover and straps from the base of the splint. The quilted cover may be hand or machine washed in cool water. Close all the hook closures and slip the cover into a small mesh bag for machine washing. Air dry flat. Rinse the plastic shell with soap and water and rinse thoroughly in clear water. Towel dry and allow finger covers to air dry before reapplying the quilted cover.

When should I wear the Comforter Splint?
The Comforter Splint is designed to be worn at night to let your hands rest in a stress-free position.

Should I wear splints on both hands?
If arthritis affects both your hands then we recommended wearing a splint on each hand. The Comforter Splint leaves your fingertips and thumb free so you can put on both splints and still pull up your covers or adjust your pj’s.

Will this make my hands feel better?
Most people report that they wake up with less stiffness and pain in their fingers, allowing them to move better in the morning. We have heard from several people that it does take them several nights to "learn" to wear the splints throughout the night and once they do, they don’t’ want to be without them.

I had a stroke and my hand tends to curl up at night when I sleep. Will this splint help?
The Comforter Splints holds your wrist and fingers straight and lets the middle and end joints of your fingers relax. For many people who have had a stroke, splinting the fingers straight causes them to push against the splint and can result in deformity. The Comforter Splint avoids this and has been reported to be quite helpful to those who have had a stroke especially if your fingers curl up tightly at night. It is strongly recommended that you discuss any splint with your health care providers.

Shipments are processed Monday through Friday. Weekend and holiday orders and orders placed after 2:00 pm EST will ship the next business day. Overnight orders received after 2:00 pm EST will ship the following business day (Saturday delivery for residential addresses not available).

In order to provide the best possible service, we ship via USPS, Priority Mail and Fed Ex. USPS options usually deliver your package within 2-6 days depending on location. 2-day and overnight delivery are available through Fed Ex.

Ulnar Drift

Recently I had an appt with OT for my osteoarthritis and he noticed that I already have an ulnar drift, so he recommended this splint. Initially, I couldn't wear them the whole night, but now all is good. My hands, fingers etc all feel much better in the AM. Highly recommend and give 2 thumbs up!

Fantastic

The Comforter splint is fantastic. The first splint the VA ordered for me did not fit as it was too short. I needed a larger size. This splint is fantastic but can be uncomfortable for the first couple of days. I got used to it while watching television and sitting around. You can wear it all night after getting used to it. It helps keep my fingers straight and takes my pain away! Thank you!

Night time splint

I received my nighttime splint and took others advise and wore it a couple of hours before bed to get use to it for about a week. I have been wearing it for the last couple of nights for the whole night and, other than my 1st digit knuckle being sore in the morning, I feel that it is going to help the rest of my fingers from drifting as fast as they were before. May have to purchase a daytime splint to wear while I am on the computer.

night splint

I received the order very quickly. I've been wearing the splint for five nights, and am doing okay with it, except that the finger supports are tight and irritating. (My occupational therapist showed me how to wear it.) Last night I removed it half way through the night. Will keep trying. Any suggestions?

OMA: It may take a week or so before you fully get used to wearing your Comforter Splint at night. Many say that once they do, they don’t’ want to be without them as they wake up with less stiffness and pain in their fingers. Now that you have worn your splint for a few nights you might want to consider consulting with your therapist again for any adjustments that may need to be made.

Disappointed

Comfort Splint

NIGHT TIME SPLINT

The splint is non returnable. I measured my hand as recommended. However the finger guards won't work for me because the splint is approximately1/4 to 1/5 inch too short in the palm area & the finger splints dig into my hand. Therefore I cannot use them :( I am 5' 7" tall & weigh 135 lbs. & am of mortal, average build. My suggestion is that you add a palm length to your measurement chart. The product otherwise would be ideal. Disappointed customer.

Great help for Arthritic Hands

I am very satisfied with the 3-Point Comforter Splints. I wear them on my hands to bed and they keep my hands from bending or twisting when I sleep. That is key for me because of my rheumatoid arthritis. Thank you for offering this product it is a great help to me!

Perfect- cautious of knucle stiffness

This product is absolutely perfect for my ulnar deviation and I have not even had it molded to fit yet. However (this maybe correctable by molding unsure) if you have sever RA in your knuckles (MP joints I believe) before molding this product does keep them at a 45 degree bent angle (which is causes morning stiffness for me). Other than that it's is awesome!
