The oval-8 holds my thumb straight avoiding the clicking when bending. After a week of wearing it, the brace has never come off, never kept me from doing anything, even swimming laps.

I learned about oval-8 finger braces from an OT on YouTube and was thrilled that they were available at low-cost. They provide instant relief by immobilizing the joint. They are light, fit well once you find your size and don't need to be taken off to wash hands or do kitchen chores etc.

These splints are comfortable and keep some of my joints more stable. I can’t wear them on all of my affected joints because they overlap & become clunky & limit mobility, so I have to choose one joint for each finger to keep stable. Two of my splints have snapped already. It’s honestly grotesque how expensive these splints are, despite being the cheapest splints available. I’d recommend these only if, like me, you can’t afford something better, and if durability isn’t a priority.

I’m a knitter who’s got trigger finger due to a fall. Initially I wore this at night so my finger wouldn’t lock, but now I also wear it when knitting. My finger would lock when knitting and I’d have to pop it back out at the end of a row. Now with wearing it keeps my finger in place and I can get my knitting done faster. I’ve purchased a couple of these packs so that I have on in each of my project bags and by my bed for nighttime. I highly recommend these finger splints!

I acquired trigger finger and had tried home-made splints. None of them were water-proof. I can't quite believe how comfortable the Oval-8 splint is. It is almost totally invisible, so people aren't constantly asking what I did to my finger. I highly recommend this product.

I just received my Oval-8 finger splint(s) today. I quickly shed my self-made, now dirty device that I had created for my middle trigger finger and slipped into the Oval-8. I am extremely delighted at how such a simple device could be so effective, without any discomfort at all. I can now get wet without drenching my previous device. I don’t have very much experience with medical problems (I’m 67 and very lucky) and not much esteem for much of the industry, but this is the cat’s meow!

I have a mallet finger and all the other splits came off in the shower and when washing dishes. These are the best! I switch between the larger brace ones and these, depending on what I am doing. But so very glad my husband found these for me!

Having to use on my thumb to keep from triggering. The most difficult part was figuring out which size is best. You may need two different sizes to account for temperature changes. The device slipped of a couple of times in cold weather. But it definitely keeps my thumb straight!

I have used this product for the last 15 years for my little finger and my arthritis in that digit has not worsened. My finger is still in the same position & the same circumference as the day I started wearing my Oval 8. I can use my hand for all my tasks without putting something off for later.

How aggravating to have your finger stuck in the bent position, and hurt after straightening all day! The Oval 8 is an easy fix. It is like wearing a ring. I use three of them.

My hand therapist recommended these for thumb trigger finger as I was trying to avoid a steroid shot. However after several weeks wearing the splint, my thumb was actually worse. Also these are way overpriced for 3 small pieces of molded plastic.

I have a mild case of trigger thumb from over use and the Oval 8 splint is helping so much. I play the flute for a living, and the last 2 years have been really busy. I'm close to retirement and have a little arthritis in my left hand. I'm mostly resting and going some PT, but with the splint, I can use my thumb without any pain and without any clicking or popping. Shipping was very fast. Great product!

I used the oval-8 splint from ohmyarthritis.com to keep my trigger thumb from catching and causing pain. That and topical NSAID really helped until I lost them (later found folded in w/sheets and in vegetable drawer of fridge).

I thought perhaps the cheaper ones from another site would work just as well. Was I wrong! They plastic was flimsy and the edges were irritating and felt almost sharp. But worst of all was the irregular sizing—even though they were supposedly all the same size they clearly were not. The others are cheaper but SO inferior and uncomfortable that they are unusable. Save yourself the aggravation and choose the ohmyarthritis.com oval-8 splint.

I do a lot of yoga so my osteoarthritis was definitely aggravated. It took awhile for things to act up. Found the Oval 8 thru Utube. Really helps while doing the yoga. Not sure it can solve the osteoarthritis issues but hopefully keep it from degrading further

I ordered three, three packs, of different sizes for various joints. I came here because as a person of color, I wanted clear instead of the “flesh tone” splints, and clear isn’t available on the other ubiquitous e-commerce site… I’m very glad this is an option because otherwise it would be very difficult for me to wear regularly with such a poor color match for my skin tone. Thank you for offering them in clear. They look much better than I thought they would and fit, stay in place for the most part, and the plastic doesn’t cut into my skin, except for one that’s not quite the eighth size. Since they’re clear, they are easy to lose track of, if this might be a concern for you. I like that I could get them somewhat dirty or wash my hands without necessarily removing them. But at a little over $8 each in a three pack, I had sticker shock seeing that my bill came to ~$75 for essentially nine pieces of clear plastic. This may be a qualm, but it would help me to have half sizes available. One of my joints is in between sizes and because of this, I got a pressure sore. Shipping was quick, and I appreciated the care with the packaging. The aqua/teal tissue paper in the box was a nice touch. Thank you for offering this product.

The splints themselves are whole and half sizes. The end with the + symbol will fit slightly looser than if you turn it around and put the other end on first for a more secure fit. If you need further adjustment in sizing the splints may be adjusted by a healthcare provider trained in fitting splints.

I do a lot of hand sewing and drawing. My thumb was having trouble bending and would hurt after a short time. The thumb splint works very well. Most of the time I forget it is on.

I had bought a 3-piece set last year for my trigger thumb. It fit well and did the job of keeping my thumb from bending back. Unfortunately I lost the one I was wearing ( I put it down somewhere, it didn't slip off my finger), and had to order another. It cost almost 20.00 with shipping for 1 splint which is quite expensive but I had no choice. It is the best alternative (IMHO) to all the other splints out there. I need to put a bell on this one so I don't lose it again. Considering it is just plastic I think the price could be more reasonable.

As a professional pianist, I was afraid I would have to stop performing due to osteoarthritis in the end finger joints of all 8 fingers. With oval 8's those joints are stabilized and I am still practicing and performing. By using gel tubes over looser ones, the rings do not turn or slip. A career saver!

Based on the sizing guide on the site ordered sizes 7,8, & 9. Size 7 did not fit at all, using 8 & 9. Took some time to figure out how & where to wear on the finger to reduce pain from tight fit. Have ordered some size 10’s to evaluate. Due to pain have not been able to wear 24/7. I do lots of yoga and so far pretty good support, I will add the customer service support is very good. I wear them on Heberden node & very high on the finger tips to avoid the pain

Just an fyi . Fingers change in size during the day . They may be swallon at one time and be normal another. In my experience in wearing a support for my arthritic trigger pinky finger, I found this out . Wearing it while doing prep work in my kitchen noticed the support was not on my finger. Maybe it will show up and maybe not , it came off not knowing. My sizing was correct with normal wearing . Not recommending being aware of this type of issue . Was a waste of money for me . Lost

The splint may slip off if hands are wet or if your finger has gotten slightly smaller due to colder air, being in cold water etc. The Oval-8 Graduated Sets with 3 consecutive sizes is a great option for fluctuations in finger size due to swelling or temperature changes. I developed trigger thumb from using impact wrenches on the farm this spring. The Oval 8 splint has kept me working. It's survived oil, grease, herbicides and general abuse...it cleans easily. I wear in it a glove to do heavy work and fencing. I ordered 9 more to have handy when I lose one. I can't do my farm/ranch work without the Oval 8 splint.

I have mild arthritis in my hands, but a bad case of trigger thumb - my thumb locks, then pops, and hurts! The thumb splint I ordered works great to keep my thumb supported and in one place, I love it!

I do find the splint helpful for my trigger finger but I have a size issue. I had three people measure my finger and all came out with size 8. I ordered the 8, 9, 10 set since my fingers sometimes swell in hot weather and I would have the 9 for those times. As it turned out the 8 is too small to go on my finger at all, and the 9 fits only in the larger direction. It is a tad snug but it fits. The 10 is useless for me as it is too large and won't stay in place on my finger. I blame the uneven sizing and feel I got caught on both ends. Most sizes are 2/16 inch apart. However, there is just 1/16 inch difference between sizes 8 and 9. Then there is a 3/16 difference between sizes 9 and 10. Why? With even 2/16 differences my guess is I would have a usual fit and a better fit for when my fingers swell. I say again that the one that fits is very helpful and I am glad to have it. The other two will make fun cat toys.

I am a flute player with rheumatoid arthritis, and several finger joints tend to hyperextend and lock when I play. No more! Oval 8s keep my joints in slight flexion to avoid the issue completely, without getting in the way.

I have trigger thumb. After 3 steroid injections (over 6 months), symptoms persisted. Surgery was scheduled 3 months after last injection. My cousin (an occup.therapist) said to try exercises/PT which had helped her with trigger finger. I began exercises on thumb and got size 12 Oval 8. Triggering has gone away. I saw had surgeon today who cancelled surgery. Thanks Oval 8 people!

I have a variety of sizes for different fingers. Over a year of nighttime use, one finger's arthritic bend has actually straightened enough so there is no longer daily pain.

I developed trigger thumb and was going crazy wrapping my thumbs every day with gauze and tape. The Oval 8 is great because it is waterproof, low profile and easy to get on and off. Cons: it can slip off when you bend finger a certain way and/or when wet.

I received my thumb splint, and I enjoy having the flexibility of wearing it without discomfort.

Woke up one morning with the joint on my thumb out of whack. A little online Dr. Googling brought me to these splints. They worked to let that joint heal back how it should be! Thanks! Fast service too!

I purchased the 3-pack for the arthritis and achiness in my thumb. It is very light and I easily got used to wearing it. I started using a bandage to keep in place. However, do not use BandAid brand because they stick to the plastic when removed and cause stickiness.

I bought a 3-pack & then ordered a single larger size as my finger was somewhat swollen. Very light & comfortable; rarely falls off (unless washing your hands, or finger gets very wet!). I have shown & recommended product to a friend who also has a mallet finger due to injury.

Had originally ordered a size 6/7/8 set. Recently the size that worked best for me cracked after hard day & night use for quite a long time (couple of years?). Just ordered a size 7 set of three. These should last me forever!

I have hypermobility (not related to Elhers Danlos or Marfan's) and for many years it was fine. But my thumbs have started to bother me more often and I've been hurting my index fingers by hyperextening them on stupid things (like microwave buttons). I've seen the silver ring splints, but they are so far out of my price range. These are an excellent affordable option! I wear them for everything, from dance, to typing, to meal prep. They are very comfortable and have helped reduce my pain significantly. It's great that they can get wet without damage or unpleasant sogginess. A cautionary note for others who have lived with hypermobility for a long time; you will have to relearn some things. I have never used the tip of my thumb for anything, always used the pad of the thumb farther down the way most folks use the thumb tip. Tying shoes, brushing teeth and braiding hair have all been a bit difficult to relearn, but totally worth it.

I have used these thumb splints for several years to ease the pain from arthritis and calcification. They work wonderfully and reduce a lot of pain.

My hand writing days would probably be over if I didn't have the Oval-8. It really helps me. I have been using it for a year.

It is helpful to have a splint that can get wet, and is easy to keep on all day. I have been wearing the Oval-8 for 2 months with only partial healing of my mallet finger, and suspect I'll need to continue to wear it to prevent a repeat ligament injury. The Oval-8 is cost-effective and helpful for this frustrating injury.

In the month I've worn one, this ingenious device has kept my swans neck pinkie from hyperextending. Too soon to say if it will help fix the condition. Wish I knew about them when I first got the swans neck a few years ago. Be careful when removing gloves--brace can be caught in glove or fall off outside glove

I LOVE my Oval-8 - have yet to figure out how to "cure" my trigger thumb, this splint has been a Godsend. It allows me comfort, and convenience. As my work has my hands wet and dry all day long, this is an easy tool to allow me full (95%) of my hand/thumb. Don't waste time or money on other "solutions." this one is great and the service behind the scenes is super, too. Only problem I have is it'sa snug fit to get over my knuckle, and when my hands are cold, the Oval-8 can slide off. I've figured out how to accommodate this problem by swapping this out periodically with a strip of Coban which restricts motion of the clicking thumb joint. It works, and I have not lost one in weeks! (record was 2 in one day!)

These finger splints work well to keep my middle finger from locking when flexed. It is extremely painful to unlock that joint. I am happy to have this product.

I have mallet finger. My work involves a lot of firearms manipulation, on range environments 6 hours a day. No noticeable hindrance and the best part- IU can use a finger brush to scrub my hands when doing. It fits under very tight tactical style gloves. Sizing is precise, read the instructions. Don’t be afraid to soak in hot water to stretch, soap helps the sliding on. If it’s tight, that’s good.

Love them! Really helps my fingers from locking up, n I can wash/sanitize my hands with them on! Now, I just have to find a way not to lose them!

Ordered the Oval-8 set in size 8-9-10 The 10 fits the best for my current trigger thumb. I almost lost the 10 so ordered 3 more 10’s just to have on hand. A month wait to get in to see a Hand Dr. so these are getting me through. Can do a lot more since wearing these and much less painful.

I wear Oval-8 finger splints on two fingers per the recommendation of an occupational therapist. She gave me one, which I somehow lost. I ordered three more and lost two of them. To stay ahead of the curve I ordered more, and I appreciate the quick shipment. When worn, the splints straighten my fingers at the joint. I will probably need to wear them indefinitely, which is certainly preferable to what they were doing previously. Sometime there's mild pain also (not due to the splint), for which I use an OTC topical anesthetic.

Carefully measured using the guide on the website. Ordered 2 sizes. One fits now -- and on warmer days when my fingers swell, I just turn it around and voila! ½ size bigger!!! I expect the smaller size to fit as my overall swelling decreases. Wish I'd known about this product before having surgery on 3 trigger fingers at once. Oval-8's are great!!!

I've been wearing these finger splints for years to hold my finger joints in line to protect them because the fingers are bent at the joints. If I don't wear these, sometimes the joints slip out of alignment and it's painful. I also think these may be helping to keep the fingers from bending any further.

I had surgery on my right thumb for trigger finger two years ago, which worked remarkably and I haven't had anymore locking or pain. My left hand thumb now has it. I wanted to see if I could stop the pain without surgery. I used the splint for a week and the pain went away. I went to my hand doctor and she gave me a shot of steroids. Hopefully, I won't have to have surgery on my left thumb. The measurement chart worked well for me and it fits my thumb perfectly.Its much more comfortable than the fabric splint I had purchased previously. You can get it wet unlike the fabric one. I couldn't use my left hand if was doing something that I would get it wet.

I got the finger splint for my little finger because it was bent inward towards the rest after a fall. Had xrays. Not broken or dislocated but still hurt. Read it could be stretch ligament so decided to try this splint to protect it and see if it would straighten it out. It doesn't hurt while splint is on and it is straighter.

I have a serious trigger finger. Your oval eights are perfect fit on my finger. It is the only thing I have found to prevent these episodes. If I don’t wear them the pain shoots up my fingers through my arm. I do tend to lose them from time to time as they stretch a little bit so make sure you don’t purchase them too big. They should fit snuggly.

I was fitted for an Oval-8 by a occupational therapist for degenerated cartilage and bone spurs in my index finger. Keeping up with the one she gave me was driving me crazy, so I took a chance and Googled Oval-8. I was delighted to find your site, order a package of five, and receive them in just a few days. I have been having a lot of problems with my middle finger and have had three Cortisone shots and the locking came back with a vengeance. I saw the Dr. to see about surgery, but after reading his write up he couldn’t give any positive results so I started to search for a alternative answer as my finger would lock up all the time and it was very painful so when I came across the oval 8 finger splint as I read the ad I decided that I couldn’t lose anything by try it. The first time I used it I had great relief and have been wearing it every since. I have been very satisfied with this product and would recommend others to try.

My mother needed a splint for her trigger finger. I ordered a 3 pack of sizes 4,5,6 because her fingers are thin but they were too small. So I returned them. I then noticed the sizing chart when reordering and had her measure her finger which measured 2and 1/2 inches so we ordered a single size 9 according to the sizing chart. The size 9 was too big. So, we ordered a size 8 and that fits perfectly. She likes this splint because she can wash easily with it on. Great product once you get the right size.

I have trigger finger and use them. they are great and allow me to function without pain. Also the company sent out stuff quickly and nicely packaged

Best thing I could have done was to buy this - I can do all my daily things now.

I was amazed at the information provided on the website, they really made it easy to size and place my order. I received my finger splints a week ago and started using them, will provide an update on my experience in a month or so.

These have been really helpful to a couple family members with trigger finger. However, even after months of use, the symptoms don't completely go away. So I don't think I could call it a cure. Otherwise, the only issue is that because your finger swells and shrinks throughout the day and with varying activities, it's a little hard to to get a "perfect" fit all the time. We've lost a couple of them because they can slip off while working. Also, they are not super durable, so you need to be careful. If they fall on the floor and get stepped on, they break. Still, as a way to stave off or maybe avoid surgery, I would definitely recommend giving them a try.

There is nothing that I dislike. My right "ring" locks up at the finger joint closest to the knuckle. It is not permanently locked but is very painful when it unlocks. As a woodworker and a DIY person I am continuously flexing my fingers. This splint prevents my finger from curling to the point that it locks. It is flexible so my finger moves enough to keep the blood flowing. Also it is a minimal structure and keeps air flowing around your finger just like the normal ones. It will slip off when washing your hands --- soapy slick. So I take it off temporarily for bathing. The fit on my finger.....it slides off easily as would a properly fitted ring...not too tight....not too loose.

I found the sizing chart very ineffective. I initially measured loosely, and with the advice of my occupational therapist I ordered a size 10. This was way too large. I returned this oval 8, at the cost of $5 postage, also losing my $5.50 shipping and handling fee. I next measured my finger very closely. I ordered a size 5, which is too small to fit!! I am going without an oval 8 for fear that I will order a third device which still doesn't fit.

I haVe trigger thumbs. These liTtle flesh colored braces are fantastic. They hardly show, and they do the trick well. I appreciate the discounted price for purchasing five at a time. Unfortunately, it is easy to lose them when they inadvertently slip off. It is great to have extras ready.

Make sure you go to the website and do the sizing recommendations there. I just saw the one on the IG link, measured my thumb length and ordered the wrong size. Unfortunately they don’t do free exchanges or refunds, so it ended up costing me $24 just for one thumb splint.

Recommended by hand therapist to relieve trigger finger. Seem to be working. They slip off easily when hands are wet or oily, and, when I take hands out of gloves they sometimes remain in finger of glove.

I purchased 2 of the 3 size sets. I put them on when I received them and within the first 24 hours I had decided that they were too uncomfortable to wear and I was going to stop. The next day, I decided that I shouldn't give up so quickly, so I tried them again, but this time going up in size. That made a huge difference. I have been wearing them for a couple of weeks. I hope that it helps relieve my issue. The only problem that I have with them is the cost. They're pretty expensive compared to other, bulkier splints. I wish that the price was more competitive given the materials involved.

I wear the finger splints to support the end joints in my pointer fingers which have arthritis. I like to carve wood which puts alot of pressure on these joints - the splints are comfortable and not cumbersome. I wear them when doing house work and yard work - so comfortable I sometimes forget to take them off when I go out! I even find them comfortable to wear to bed. My goal is to decrease wear-and -tear on these joints and keep my fingers straight as possible - and stop the pain.

Theses rings are perfect. I wish they came in half sizes also. I would swear by the effectiveness of helping curb trigger fingers. Don’t hesitate. I did have a set of rings at home and figured size from that which worked for me. Try to get a knuckle measurement before ordering.

My wife wears a#10 on her thumb to help with trigger thumb issues. It helps alot but slips off easy and she is always looking around for it. That is why I bought a pack of 5. :-) Thanks!

I used the site's measurement instructions and ended up paying $20 for supports that don't fit. So far, no response to my email requesting return assistance.

The thumb splintbis definitely helping my trigger thumb issue. When I wear it, I can sleep without the pain waking me up.

I have used this product for 6 years for arthritis in my distal intraphanangeal joint of my little finger to prevent it from deforming further with success. It does slip off when wet, so I wear gloves when cooking or cleaning which keeps it germ-free. It is easy to clean.

Snug fit is good- unless you swell at night. Then it's painful. Slips off when it gets wet but a latex finger cot fits better than other splints I've tried. My fingertip still bends a little. Wish I could adjust the fit.

I love this little finger splint. It's amazingly simple and so, so comfortable to wear. I don't even know I'm wearing it. I use it for trigger finger on my thumb at night (provided by my doctor) but bought three more because I can't bear the thought of losing it and being without it... I received my order very quickly. Would definitely reorder from this company.

I'm not supposed to bend my thumb when showering. Constantly falls off.

Kudos to this amazing company for the prompt service. Out of the various companies I have ordered from during this pandemic Oh My Arthritis is the only company that promptly shipped my order and it actually arrived one day early. I have been using this product for the last few years. I wish this product could be adjusted to include half sizes because there’s only so much adjustments that can be made before the design is compromised and becomes ineffective. The whole sizes if a good fit work perfectly!

This splint really helps support my finger joint, and it's very comfortable. It matches my skin tone, too. But I'm sorry to see that the only choice is Caucasian. If manufacturing economics limit us to one color choice I think it's time to choose something else. Otherwise, the product is a 5.

When I saw the Oval-8 online I was impressed by how slight it was: "if this thing works on my trigger finger, then it would be totally amazing." It totally does work, and it is amazing. It's barely there and yet it prevents the finger from triggering. I forget that I'm wearing it, but it still works. It's inexpensive and prevents the remarkable pain that the triggering brings on. I bought a package of three more at my size (#11), just in case I lost the one I'm using.

I have trigger thumb. I was wearing a neoprene brace that made my hand sweaty and was always stinky, even after washing. Taking it off for washing my hands multiple times a day was a pain. Oval 8 is simple, effective, and doesn’t get in the way. I love it!

I got this for my thumb that started snapping at the joint. Seems to be good at keeping it in place; however still not sure I’m wearing it right. Instructions are different on the website and the included instructions?? Ordered some sleeves to try on toes.

I was recommended by my orthopedist to try the Oval-8 splints to possibly non-surgically correct a recent tendon injury. It is helping already and it has only been on a short time. These are easy to keep hands clean with, I am a nurse and wash my hands constantly. The materials used make it easy to keep good hand washing habits.

Momentum Physical Therapy was selected to help with my arthritic hands. I also was having a very aggravating trigger finger and a calcium particles near the large joint of another finger. My Occupational Therapist recommended the Oval 8 splints. These jewels have helped me to quicken on the road to recovery. When you are unable to use your hands and the aches and pains drive you crazy; the Oval 8 splints came to the Rescue.

Last summer I got a mrsa infection in the distal joint of my index finger. After surgery and months of IV antibiotics, I was left with a mallet finger. I go to occupational therapy and have had a dozen different splints to heal my flexor tendon but they slip, allow “dippage”, get wet, have to be changed etc. This splint holds it's position perfectly and doesn’t come off in the shower or while washing dishes. And I’m stoked that there’s no Velcro straps or rolls of bandages required because they get dirty, lose their grip and get expensive after awhile. I’ve been wearing clunky splints for months which often invites people to ask what happened (very sweet, but it’s an off putting story that I’ve had to tell a billion times)This splint leaves my finger visible and healthy looking. Not a scary mrsa, raging infectious, zombie looking finger as some might have imagined I was hiding under my other splints and bandages. I’m submitting this review in case there is someone in a similar situation and are discouraged because they haven’t found their solution yet. This splint can also be worn comfortably for an uninterrupted, extended period of time which is necessary for the tendon to heal. It’s been a long journey so I’m freakin grateful I found this product.

This works like a charm! I needed it for trigger finger to wear at night while sleeping and it has helped my issue tremendously! Not bulky at all so very comfortable

Although I'm not practicing now, I used to be a hand occupational therapist. I learned how great these splints work. Now aging, my first sign of joint shifting means these little splints go on my fingers to support them through changes. They are light weight, visually acceptable, and worth a lot!

I play the ukulele and this splint has enabled me make barre chords without pain. I'm so glad that my physical therapist recommended this.

This is my second order for finger splints. I tend to lose them, have ordered a smaller size due to it's stretching (also lost weight). I cannot manage w/o the splint even though it is my left hand and I am left handed - it all works !

I'm suffering from trigger thumb and this splint is just perfect. It solved all of the multitude of problems I had with the neoprene wrap-around splint that I tried first. In complete contrast, the Oval 8 works brilliantly to keep my thumb perfectly immobilized and concisely targets the problem in a highly effective way. I love that I'm able to perform normal activities, including washing my hands, without removing it. I don't even think about it being there. The neoprene brace style splint for trigger thumb that I used prior to the Oval 8 did a terrible job of keeping my thumb immobilized, it needed constant readjustment, the velcro kept catching on things, and I had to take it off while in the rain or whenever I needed to do anything involving water. I kept it off more than I should have because it was pretty inconvenient and did a very poor job of addressing the problem. Plus it was sweaty. The Oval 8 is a truly dramatic contrast and I'm thrilled with it.

Please read as many reviews as you can. All the stories seem to be true. The splint is great and my finger feels like it is normal again. A splint has already fallen off while I was carrying something but it is still worth it. The benefits are so much more than the inconvenience of losing it. So you can buy another one.....I did. It tends to slip off when your hands are in water. So just take it off during that time. It is the best invention ever!!!

The splints are great! I wear them 24 hrs, although they are fairly easy to lose when grabbing objects or even washing your hands. They'll get caught on something suddenly they're missing. Very comfortable to wear.

They didn't remind that the finger ring size needs to be adjusted smaller to fit the end of the finger. Who knows the end of their finger ring size? When I did put it on, it didn't feel like it was supporting or straightening that area were it fit. Should have a print out of ring size holes where one can cut out the hole so one can place one's finger into the cutout to find out size needed.

I love these easy finger splints. I started with my ring size for my first purchase. My next order was one size larger due to swelling. I was wearing this 24/7. After loosing a couple that caught on shopping bags, I now wear them while at home. The finger with the splint was noticeably getting crooked. Happy and thankful to say the crooked finger is not getting worse, maybe a tiny bit straighter!!!! Thank-You

Great splints! I wrap coban on top to secure it!

Sorry I forgot to write that I'm a Occupational Therapist. Coban might be hard to find for folks so the elastic tape stretch material in stores where ace bandages are found work well too. I use the 3 inch wide rolls and trim it to fit the length of the splint on the finger. The rolls come in various colors for fun as well. Good luck.

I suffered with "trigger thumb", very painful when my joint would get hooked up. I truly didn't want to have surgery, I faithfully wore this splint for 6 months. I loved that it wasn't a noticeable brace. It protected my thumb and kept it safe from getting out of joint. I lost it a few times and made everyone in the house look for it!!! My left "trigger thumb" is cured, I'm now dealing with the same issue with my right thumb! I recommend this item but you have to be patient, you can mend those tendons with this splint.

I need to immobilize my thumb for 6 weeks in order to try to diminish my "trigger thumb." I was using a wrap-around splint but, boy, talk about uncomfortable! This little gizmo does the trick; my thumb is remaining in just the position the occupational therapist recommended. And, I am still able to use the majority of my hand easily, & massage the base of my thumb. Great thing!

my IP thumb joint is completely not working and I can't pinch or zip or snap is it in any capacity. It's so painful and if I bang it it triggers down and has to be manually picked up. I ordered the one with all three sizes and the size 9 works for me. It's snug but not cutting me off, fits like a ring and I do hair all day long and right now it's saving my career.

It's a good product. Best I have found. Expensive for those with a progressive problem needing differing sizes. Service is very good. I'd rather pay a bit more than be billed so much for postage hen the marginal cost is so small.

Oval eight splints give extra support to my arthritic fingers when I carve or knit. I wear them every day to protect my joints from the activities of daily living (house work). There is less pain at night because of this - thank you for this fine product.

My first experience with splints for trigger finger. They are very comfortable to wear, but so far after 2 weeks I've not noticed any improvement in my trigger symptoms, which isn't any fault of the splint. But the symptoms haven't gotten worse, which is probably credited to wearing the splint.

I have worn silver splints for years, but as a pianist, hated that they clicked on the keys. Oval 8s give the same support without noise: I even wear them to perform!

I have tried different splints, including the silver ones and nothing offered the support that these offer. I am an OT with IP deviation in the thumb and these work!

I like this splint because it keeps my thumb stable as I go about my day without too much interference. No problem getting it wet. Keeping it stable will help it heal since it protects from strain.

First time I had trigger finger I got a cortisone shot. When it happened a couple of years later I tried the finger splint for a month or two, and it was gone

Love the oval 8 finger splints. They are a great lifesaver for me. Comfortable to wear 24/7. I do have to use waterproof tape to keep on but that's okay. I can go for about 1 week before the tape needs to be changed. Thank you very much

This product was recommended by my OT who said that it may help to keep my finger from turning in. So far, I have used it about a week. The only thing I was not happy with was the amount it cost for shipping, especially since it came in an envelope.

My current order was for 3 #10 finger splints. 3 because I tend to lose them and because I fear having the pain if I do not have one on. Since wearing the splint, Ihave not suffered once. I am left handed and still can write with the splint on and it does not keep me from doing my normal housework or activities

I've developed a trigger thumb and purchased a thick glove like thing with velcro to brace it but it was so cumbersome. Then I spotted this. It's exactly what I needed. I hardly notice I'm wearing it and never worry about getting it wet. It does just what I wanted and NOTHING MORE, it braces your joint. No long velcro tapes, no bulky glove, just an effective brace.

As sad as the pricing goes for Swan Neck deformities per Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome.... $40 for 5 is a bit steep. I bought the graduated set on Amazon, and it didn't specify how many were inside. I kind of figured for little plastic pieces, that the set consisted of a decent amount of all 3 sizes!!! Not literally 3 splints!!! I am baffeled to say the least. I really can't understand why companies find it okay to price inflate because they usually have no competition, whatsoever, because Ehlers-Danlos and related conditions are rare. I am really upset, and I am currently scrambeling to learn 3D art myself so I can make my own splints. Because well, $500 out of pocket for Silver Ring Splints is out of the question... And sorry, sadly now so is $25 for 3 freaking splints on Amazon. When my fingers are 4 different sizes between both hands, only for bug joints! I can get Tupperware cheaper than that.

I’ve been wearing these splints for years. I love them. I wear three of them on one hand for overextension problems due to RA and they enable me to use those fingers. I also lose them a lot! Mostly when I haven’t changed the size to accommodate colder weather. Make a gesture and there goes a splint across the room. Or lawn. Or street. I finally got around to ordering replacements late one morning recently. Figured I’d have it next week. It was in my mailbox the next morning! I love these people!

Snapping of tendon in thumb for weeks. Painful trigger thumb when doing any activity. This splint enables me to do things without pain. It’s exceljent to help heal the nodule in the tendon sheath.

Timely shipment. I've used the Oval 8 for years for trigger finger. Basically it acts like a splint to relax the tendons. Oval 8 is generally not noticed. After a few weeks the tendons relax and I'm back to my usual movements without the joint's locking. I't been a few years, had total relief until this miserable cold wet season this year. Expect to get past all that with the help of Oval 8. ohmyarthritis.com did a great job!

I've been using an Oval 8 thumb splint for about a week and have felt welcome relief. I wear it at night and have avoided the painful locked joint upon awakening that usually takes a few hours to loosen up.

After wearing silver ring splints for years and using tape when the silver was not appropriate, now I have the lower cost option of nearly invisible oval-8s! I can wear them while playing piano, too!

I think this product is the best out there. Most splints completely hinder any kind of use of finger and make your issue noticeable to everyone. Oval 8 is the innovative fix! My only trouble was sizing and that I was unable to locate a distributor other than online. But rest assured online I did!

I use the Oval-8 finger splint to keep my painful "trigger finger" from clamping tight while I sleep (and having to "crack" it back straight). The splint works quite well. I love your size 12 finger splint for my trigger finger except it's too comfortable.  It lasted only 2 days before it slipped off unnoticed while I was grocery shopping.  I'll be immediately be buying a new one.  Good product.

This was my second time to order. The splints make such a difference. I've been dealing with my little finger for nearly a year now and I'm so thankful I found this company. Orders have come very quickly each time too!

I absolutely LOVE these splints. They are preventing deformity of my hands, both of which are compromised by Rheumatoid Arthritis. I use the splints along with the gel tubes (also sold on this site) due to the constant changes in the amount of edema in my hands. My fingers are ALWAYS swollen to some extent and these splints have reduced the severity of pain in the effected joints. If you haven't tried them you need to. You'll love them, too!!

Would be nice not to have to wear a "flesh" colour splint that doesn't match my brown skin. Additional colours or a clear option would be my preference.

oval 8 works great for splint to prevent locking joint. The size 9 is my everyday splint, but every now and then at night or when my finger is more swollen I use a size 10. My mom uses them too, but we both could use a size 9 1/2. We try both sides of the 9 and 10 and find that at times, both sides of 9 are too tight and both sides of 10 are too loose. PLEASE make some half sizes!!!!

Love love love these. Great for keeping my fingers straight but still able to bend. Wish I had discovered them last year after my first hand surgery. I bought extra in case I swell. With RA, every day is different. Thank you.

The oval 8 finger splint works exactly as it is designed for. As an elderly person, it is hard to judge which is the full side, and which is the plus 1/2 side ( the bend is too slight to tell). If there were a way to distinguish ( by color code or marking) it would be very helpful.

Thanks to the start of osteoarthritis, I've developed Heberden's nodes, primarily on my right little finger, but also now developing on my left little finger. Measured my upper joint with both a ring sizer and the measuring method. As a result, I ordered a size 5 and a size 6, which are working fine. After a couple weeks, the inward curve is noticeably improved and I am comfortable using the Oval-8.

My occupational therapist recommended the oval 8 finger splint for my trigger finger. I mostly use it at night to help ease pain and swelling and it keeps my finger from locking in bent position. I am unable to use it in my daytime activities.

Just what I was looking for! Can use my thumb again while it heals. Provides great strength and support for every task. Forget it's even there. My thumb doesn't accidentally "pop" anymore. And don't have to worry about them getting wet or anything. Can even sleep with them. Would definitely recommend to anyone with problem finger joints.

I agonized each time my finger got stuck in the flexed position. Having to 'pop' it free hurt a Lot! This device provides wonderful support, is almost invisible, and can be reversed easily to allow needed flexibility, such as when typing this review! Get it; you'll love it!

These are great for my trigger thumb. Much better than the type that need to be removed for hand washing. They are so much less bulky also. I used it years ago to heal a trigger finger. Hope it works for the thumb also.

I bought this product for a trigger thumb. It allows me to do almost everything I normally do but protects the joint in my thumb. Urgent care referred me to an ortho but I'm hoping to alleviate the problem on my own if I can. Only been a week, too soon to tell if it works.

Love these little ingenious devices. They're easy on-easy off and I pretty much forget about them once they are on and leave them on all day. My therapist recommended them for my arthritic thumbs to keep them from going into hyperextension. Interestingly, they also seem to alleviate some of the arthritic pain. Bought these for my mom for her arthritic thumbs and trigger fingers.

My therapist recommended this product to me for a trigger thumb. It allows me to do almost everything I normally do but protects the joint in my thumb. It is a bit awkward sometimes, but all in all, it still allows me to finish my daily tasks.

Being a seamstress by trade, this spint is great for my work. I can wear it and sew. If I need to remove it for a task, it slips right off and easily slips back on. I have RA and suffer from chronic trigger fingers.

I have osteoarthritis and RA. The OA has affected my index fingers causing the the top joints to bend outward (towards the thumbs). When I use the fingers and press or twist the wrong way the sharp pain can be quite a surprise. The splints straighten the fingers to almost normal and helps prevent using the fingers incorrectly. The splints are being used to permanently straighten the fingers (I don't believe this is possible) but it definitely helps me to function better. It does take some getting used to but getting used to them and it's only been a week since put the on. I also sleep with them on. Can do dishes, wash hands etc without too much trouble keeping them on. I do take a break every so often during the day and remove them. The natural color of the splints make it so they are not terribly noticeable so I'm not self conscience wearing them in public.

We ordered this Oval 8 splint for my right pinky finger and carefully measured the circumference of that finger per the firm's size chart. at 1-3/4", the chart indicated a Size 2. Which turned out to be quite tight and painful. The company has since replaced (and sold me) this with a more expensive graduated splint set (sizes 2,3 and 4). As it turns out, Sizes 3 and 4 fit my 1-3/4" circumference finger. Apart from the erroneous sizing chart, the product is great, light and wonderful--a real game-chager (and the customer service rep helpful). Wish I did not have to go through that first step and bear the expense of S&H.

An occupational therapist suggested I try this type of splint to align finger joints. The splints' silver material was difficult to adjust for a comfortable fit and quite expensive ($100 ea). Attempts to correct the fit became exasperating, and the splits were returned. A next-step google search led me to ohmyarthritis. The splints I ordered were wearable right out of the packet. The graduated sizing trio is brilliant and the price point is lovely. Great product!

I ordered these splints for a patient with multiple digit swan neck deformity. They came within 2 business days and she had them at her next visit. All with regular shipping. Everything came as ordered and they fit and work perfectly.

I have osteoarthritis that includes my fingers and I am a piano player. I wear these splints around the clock on the two fingers most affected and I notice a big difference. I think the splints protect these joints from further damage by bring them. I have much less pain in them. To me, the cherry on the cake is that they are so unnoticeable! After an arthritis flare-up at the base of my thumb, I developed trigger thumb. Since I type and use my hands all day, a normal splint would get in the way. I got an Oval-8 splint online after carefully measuring my thumb. It was such a relief! It completely supported my joint without getting in the way, and allowed the problem to resolve itself without getting in the way of my work. It's hard to notice, too.

Works great to immobilize the thumb joint. comfortable and allows the thumb to be used while wearing the device. It will come off when working in the garden so a small piece of tape will keep it in place. I almost lost it. This device is very tough and will stand up to heavy use.

I used the Oval-8 for a trigger thumb and have been able to avoid surgery! I can do almost anything with the Oval=8 on and that includes gardening and household chores. It is far better than surgery, being in a cast for 6 weeks, and relearning how to use my thumb! Thanks for a great appliance.

A good idea, but the one I ordered wouldn't fit over my finger any more, after a very slight swelling was caused after first use. I have ordered a larger size. I did carefully measure before ordering, so I woiuld recommend ordering a little larger than you expect.

OMA: As swelling or temperature changes can affect your finger size we suggest ordering the Oval-8 Graduated Set of 3 consecutive sizes.  The Graduated Set makes choosing the correct size easier by giving you the extra splints needed for changes in your finger size.

Love-love-love my Oval 8. It's an excellent product that does exactly what I need it to do. It's super light, comfortable to wear, totally inconspicuous, and inexpensive to boot!

The first one was too small so I sent it back and got the next size up. It seemed to fit but after a few hours it had rubbed a blister on both sides of my thumb. I am going to try one more time with the next size up, because it did make my thumb feel better at first, before the rubbing started. If the next one does not work I am giving up and going to the doctor.

I have an extremely large, arthritic joint, the second on my middle finger. I tried a graduated set first, found my exact size, then ordered more, a set of three in my size. I am able to play my piano, open jars, etc., and have support for that joint. it's better than the ones I had made in a therapist's office, and much more sightly. Thank you for making these!

My hand therapist recommended this for my very swollen thumb joint due to osteoarthritis. Works great! I use it as work and can type with it all day - pain free. It is lightweight and extremely comfortable.

The Oval 8 finger splints are great. I've graduated to smaller sizes for my little fingers. Correction takes time (like with anything worth while).

I have Lupus and my fingers have developed a "Swan Neck". The splints help keep my fingers straight so the function better! This is a great product, I highly recommend the Oval 8 finger splints!

It keeps my 'swan neck' little finger straight and easy to bend. And hardly anyone even notices it because it blends so well with my skin. The only problem I seem to have is losing them and having to order them again!

I found your Oval 8 searching the internet to see what exactly a mallet finger is. I was astonished to see that it would not heal on its own. I wore a finger sleeve for a few days and it was more comfortable than using nothing at all, but not very practical with the moisture and also my finger kept bending. Figured out my size and am waiting for the six to eight weeks to pass to see if it is healed. Keeping my fingers crossed, its been two weeks now and works absolutely great so far.

Trigger thumb had gotten so painful 6 mos. ago I searched internet & found this. I ordered, slipped it on, and it solved the problem instantly. MD told me the only solution was surgery, but if this alternative works, I'll use it forever.

I ordered 2 of them for my thumbs which have trigger finger. I wasn't sure if they would need adjusting? I got them a couple hours ago and think I got the correct size after all. I just happened to find these while searching the internet for more splint options to help with trigger finger. I gambled, ordered through Amazon, then re-ordered through the manufacturer. Orthopedic doctors, pharmacists, and medical suppliers have never heard of them. These are really ingenious, effective solutions to my trigger finger, and are barely noticeable.

I have been suffering with trigger thumb for several weeks now. Just got my Oval-8 this morning and have been wearing it all day and what a relief! I had been wearing a thumb spica brace, which was uncomfortable and didn't really keep me from bending my thumb. This is so much better!

Really great product. Always wore tape around my finger before I found this little gem.

After trying several types of devices including some patent pending expensive HandFixes, I tried the Oval 8 because if it worked, I like the open air feature versus taping my finger, getting it wet, etc. This little miracle totally stabilizes your finger. Once you determine your finger size watch the videos to see how many different finger issues this will help along with how to wear it for different conditions. You can wash your hands without removing it, shower, swim, etc. I can't find any negatives to share! I ordered a spare after wearing the first one for two days because there is no doubt that this is the best there is.

I received my Oval 8 rings today and could not be more happy. I love them. I hardly notice I have them on and my thumb is stationary so it will heal better and faster, and can't flex and snap.

My finger even "feels" better already!!!! I have had two trigger finger problems for a few years now. I was using an elastic band to try to keep my middle finger from bending at night while I slept Now with this oval 8 splint, my finger actually feels better!!. I highly recommend this splint. I even think I won't need any surgery. I can "hope", can't I???

I have Multiple Sclerosis. My fingers are starting to curl. In the evening I can wear Resting Hand Splints but during the day, while propelling my manual wheelchair, I am active and need the use of my hands. The Oval-8 finger splints enable me to continue my activities of daily living with greater ease. I wear 3 splints on my right hand. It does not interfere. The cost of the splints are very reasonable. This product didn't work because my finger still has swelling from the initial injury, and the plastic ring was too constricting and dug in. Might be good later on after injuiry is better healed, but not working for me right now. I am 5 weeks out from injury and still have alot of swelling.

With mallet injury one is not supposed to bend the first finger joint but keep it splinted all the time for many months. I thought this would be better than the tape and flat finger splint my doctor recommended because I could get my hand wet which I could not do with the other splint. Only problem was that in trying to put it on my finger joint kept getting bent because the splint has to fit snugly.

Great products, I just wish the numbers for the sizes were easier to read

They can come off your fingers quickly when you're washing your hands...... be careful.....

I love, love, love my Oval-8 splints. I have them for every finger, because typing without them is very painful. I wish I could do everything in my Oval-8s, but they are a bit bulky so I can't write or crochet with them on.. I use mine to correct the hypermobility in my fingers caused by Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome. They are very supportive, but they can slip off your fingers easily if your hands get cold. I've lost a few that way. My Oval-8s were fairly inexpensive, compared to other finger splints,. I really can't recommend them enough.

My son has joint hypermobility syndrome.The splint prevents him from hyperextending his thumb when he holds a pencil.

 It helped a lot to stabilize my very hyper flexible thumb joint. I would give it more stars but bc I'm female and have a small thumb I was constantly adjusting it to stay where it needed to be. However I don't really need it right now bc the major pain was eleviated by resting it with this. I had a jewelry lady size my thumb so the fit was pretty good.

I injured my finger (mallet finger injury) and was looking at 6 weeks in a splint. Every other splint I could find had some major drawback. This splint is genius. I can wear it 24/7, it's waterproof, supports my finger, I can type with it on, shower, basically anything... love it.

I was prescribed ring splint to help keep my fingers from deforming due to arthritis. I find that they are comfortable, easy to wear, and accomplish the purpose. I was surprised to find that they also helped to ease the pain from arthritis in the fingers with the splint - much better than needing to rely on drugs to handle the pain.

These are lightweight and give me good support. I do have multiple sizes in these--rather short, arthritic fingers that sometimes are more swollen with fluid retention--thus the need of varying sizes. Wearing these intermittently gives my fingers good support and helps keep the inflammation down.

I use these because my fingers fold down and stay that way until morning. It is very painful to unfold them, even under warm water. These splints keep my fingers in a natural position and helps me to avoid the painful routine of having to unfold arthritic fingers.

I was suffering from severe trigger finger and a doctor recommended the Oval 8 splint. I wear it every night in bed and the pain is gone and I rarely lock up any more. I highly recommend trying this before surgery.

This is the second oval 8 splint that I purchased After wearing the oval 8 finger splint I noticed that the swelling was going down. After one month of wearing the finger splint the swelling had gone down so much that I had to purchase another one in a size 8. This product is great, it keeps your finger immobile to allow it to heal.

It's a life saver does just what they said it would. I can work again and not drop stuff.

All I can say this splint is a great idea but don't buy it until you're sure about the correct size.. It's pretty useless if it doesn't fit snug.
